Time to soothe the acnes

Acnes causes terrible headache. It makes people look as if they have poor personal hygiene and worse of all, lowers one self esteem. Myself? I had this complex when I was in my teens. Secondary school life was probably the toughest period. Didnt had a clue about skincare and was constantly sweaty (which was a very good breeding ground for bacteria), resulting in very terrible breakouts. And sad to say, I did not have someone to guide me along so I just left them as they were. I was also guilty of squeezing my blackheads, something which I still occasionally do from time to time. The worst, i have to say, must have been squeezing them with my finger nails.

Lucky enough, I started working part time in an internationally recognized skincare/makeup brand and broaden my knowledge about the right steps to taking good care of our skins. True enough, after a few weeks of "taking the proper steps", my complexion got so much better. Aside from the occasional pimples due to the hormonal changes, my skin was clearer and the need for blotting reduced significantly.

People who are having problems with acne, blackheads and whiteheads, do not despair. It is never too late to start looking after your skin. To share my trainer's story, even up till the age of 26, he suffered from troubled skin. His acne problems were so severe that it was constantly red and swollen. He decided to try out skincare and in just weeks, his skin became so clear that you would never had imagine he had such a problem. Too bad I do not have a picture to show you guys.

Here is your chance to start somewhere: Theraupeutic Dermatologic Formula (TDF) is giving out free samples from their popular series. Simply like their Facebook page here and grab a sample to to try today.

Say goodbye to awful acne, blackheads and whiteheads and Make your skin GLOW today!

좋은 날이다

Great weather, not so great health. And, that results in another Stay-in-Sunday.

First things first, Happy Lunar New Year dear friends. Dragon year may not be the best for dragon baobaos but I'm sure we will overcome all the obstacles.

Last Thursday, got myself a pair of invites to the screening of "We Not Naughty", with the rest of the churpers and the casts. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting much from the show but you know what they say about speaking too early. My impression of Jack Neo wasn't a good one after his scandal and the fact that the casts were similar to "I Not Stupid", I kinda felt that he was plagiarizing his old works. But it was a great local production, i must say. The movie was a well mix with laughter and tears (for some). My take-away from the movie was the pride of a mother, a parent.

Basically, the movie highlighted one of the biggest problems of modern Singapore - rebellious kids. Gangs, cyber-bullying, taking parents for granted and social stigmas were highlighted in the movies. We talk about these issues among ourselves all the time but really, what have we done to improve the environment we are in. I don't know if it is just me, but Chen Xiao Dong looks better in the past. His face is too artificial now.

The fact that I did not doze off in the cinemas, which happens 95% of the time, was already an achievement. I want to thank Churpchurp for this awesome experience. 2 Broke Girls

It is one of those dirty but funny sitcoms and I am currently hooked on it.

The story is set in Brooklyn where 2 waitresses with different backgrounds working together in a small diner. Caroline, played by Beth Behrs was once a billionaire, now stripped of all her money and assets met Max (Max Dennings) one day and they became friends. Caroline has this crazy dream of setting up a cupcake business with Max's delicious cupcakes so the story is about how they are working towards raising that $250,000 capital which is not going very well judging by how huge their expenditure are. Im excited to see how the story unfolds.

Im amused by the diner's boss, Han who is a short and round Asian. He is so cute and has a really weird point of view on things. So if you guys have nothing to do, watch it. But only if you are of legal age.

Did a quick search and realized that the show is brought by the executive producers of SEX AND THE CITY. That explains it i guess.

Pretty in Pink Charity Fashion Show

PRETTY IN PINK FASHION SHOW

In support of the patients and survivors of Breast Cancer, Pink Dolphin organized a charity fashion show at Butter Factory last night. Showcasing 30 outfits from Love, Bonito, ranging from casual, work and glamorous collections, the models strutted down the "runway", flaunting their beauty. What was so special about this show was that these 10 models were survivors of breast cancer. It was so heartwarming looking at these beautiful ladies exuding confidence and having the time of their lives. Being at the brink of their lives was perhaps the reason why they could appreciate and celebrate being alive.

Outfits of the night were auctioned off to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation and i must say, some people were pretty generous.

We got ourselves a pink goodie bag filled with great stuffs. And because I adore Pink Dolphin beverages, boy, was I excited to receive so many bottles of Pink Dolphin drinks.

I should have taken more shots but my bb was not exactly the best tool for photography and it was all that I had for the night.

Weekends this year will be significantly different from last's. Im anticipating more good stuffs. Have a great weekend yall, or whatever thats left of it.

xoxo.
